Joseph Bartholomew MA

Archaeological Assistant

Joe is an Archaeological Assistant at ULAS with over 5 years experience across Leicestershire and the East Midlands. 

After graduating from the University of Leicester with an MA in Archaeology in 2018, he has worked on urban and rural fieldwork whilst also developing his skills in GIS based LiDAR assessment and landscape analysis. He is particularly interested in how spatial analyses can enhance archaeological data by placing it within a broader context.

Recent projects have included working as a Research Assistant for the 'Becoming Christian in the British Midlands AD 500-1050' project, and assisting supervision at the Irchester Field School run in partnership between the University of Leicester, Chester House Estate and the Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre.
