Corporate Finance and Access to Capital
Lead: Dr Yifan Zhou
We examine the complexities of corporate finance and financial intermediation across both established and emerging markets. Our core research areas encompass ESG considerations, family-owned enterprises, banking, corporate innovation, and the broader global challenges influencing financial decision-making, such as the effects of climate change on corporate financing and investment strategies.
Our publications and working papers contribute to key debates on ownership structures, executive leadership, dividend policies, private equity, financial inclusion, and M&A. Additionally, we actively investigate the transformative impact of emerging technologies (including AI, fintech, and large language models) on traditional corporate behaviour and financial practices.
