Page and short titles

As shown in 'create a new page', the title (or Heading 1) of the page will often be different to the page name in the content tree. There is a field in Sitecore to place the title of the page, with another field below it for the 'short title.' The short title will appear in the left-hand navigation and breadcrumb trail of the page. It may not need to differ from the main title, but it may also need to be shortened slightly. For instance, if the title of the page was 'This is the main page title (Heading 1)'. Your short title could be: 'Main page title'.

When a new page is created, the title and short title fields will automatically fill with the name the page was given in the content tree.
