Images of Research
The brief is deceptively simple - communicate your research in a single image. Entries can take on different forms - it could be a traditional photo showcasing a research process, a digital photo of data, or a piece of artwork.
Our Images of Research competition is back for its third year, hosted by the Doctoral College. This year the exhibition began at Fraser Noble Hall on 4 December 2018, where our judges and visitors voted for their favourite images. We are pleased to announce the prize winners for this year are:
- Martha Papadopoulou, One Picture Two World (Judges' Prize Winner)
- Mandi Jamalian Hamedani, In Search for Inner Peace (Katherine May People's Choice Winner)
- Olga Yegorova, #NIUNAMENOSBOLIVIA - WE WANT US ALIVE (Judges' Prize Runner-up)
- Kate Gooch and Georgina Barkham-Perry, Finding Hope in a Hopeless Place (People's Choice Runner-up)
Throughout 2019, the images will be on display in various venues around the county. Stay tuned for the confirmed dates and venues.
Images of Research is a unique display of the breadth and quality of research undertaken by researchers at the University and allows those who take part an opportunity to think about their research in a new and visual way.
