Centennial College offers career-ready programs in Law Clerk, Paralegal, and Court Support Services, designed to launch students into the legal profession with confidence. Taught by experienced legal professionals, these programs combine theory, legal software training, and real-world placements in law firms, courts, and tribunals.

Graduates are prepared for roles in legal offices, government, agencies, and corporate environments—and eligible to pursue paralegal licensing through the Law Society of Ontario.

If you have started an eligible diploma with Centennial, you can continue your studies at Leicester Law School on our 3-year Law LLB (including Canadian Law).

After completing your course at Centennial, you can join a supportive community of legal experts at a world-leading University in the diverse and welcoming city of Leicester.

Paralegal Certificate Pathway

On the Paralegal Graduate Certificate route you will have one year at Centennial, and three years at Leicester. You can choose to study the Law LLB by the standard route or the Law LLB (including Canadian Law), which includes two modules on Canadian law: Foundations of Canadian Law in Year 2 and Canadian Constitutional Law in Year 3.

You may be eligible for our Law JD Pathway LLB if you have a prior undergraduate degree, where you will have one year at Centennial, and two years at Leicester. You will study our Law (JD Pathway) LLB, completing your LLB studies in just two years. This degree includes 'Foundations of Canadian Law' and 'Canadian Constitutional Law' to equip you with a critical understanding of the framework and fundamentals of Canadian law and help you prepare for the Canadian National Committee on Accreditation exams in those subjects. This degree is recognised in England & Wales and Canada and will provide an excellent foundation to pursue a legal career in these countries.

Diploma Pathway

If you are studying the Law Clerk Diploma, Court and Tribunal Agent Diploma or the Community and Justice Services Diploma you will have two years’ at Centennial, and three years at Leicester. You can choose to study the Law LLB by the standard route or the Law LLB (including Canadian Law), which includes two modules on Canadian law: Foundations of Canadian Law in Year 2 and Canadian Constitutional Law in Year 3.

If you are studying the Community and Justice Services Diploma, you also have the option to study our Law with Criminology LLB.

Entry requirements

If you are studying the Paralegal Graduate Certificate Program at Centennial, we require 65% academic achievement to progress to our Law LLB, or 70% and above to include an acceptable standard prior undergraduate degree for the Law (JD Pathway) LLB.

If you are studying Law Clerk, Paralegal – Court and Tribunal Agent or the Community and Justice Services diplomas at Centennial we require 65% academic achievement to progress on to our Law LLB.

Completing the qualification at a Canadian partner institution satisfies our English language requirements for the LLB Law and LLB (JD Pathway).
