Leicester Law School is proud to welcome students from Humber Polytechnic to start their LLB 3-year LLB programme, Law LLB (including Canadian Law)  designed with Canadian students in mind.

Applicants from Humber will usually need to have achieved the following for entry to the 3 year LLB degree at Leicester

  • Completion of any Humber 2-year diploma with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 70%

Humber Degree + Leicester Law School JD Pathway

Already pursuing a degree at Humber Polytechnic? Continue with our Law (JD Pathway) LLB — a graduate entry 2-year programme that includes specialised Canadian Law modules.

Applicants from Humber will usually need to have achieved the following for entry to the 2-year JD Pathway at Leicester.

  • Completion of Humber Bachelor of Paralegal Studies, or any Humber degree, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 65%

We welcome applications from motivated students whose predicted grades are slightly below our standard entry requirements.

This pathway leads to a 2-year Law (JD Pathway) LLB.

What can you study?

On the diploma route you will have two years at Humber Polytechnic and three years at Leicester Law School. You can choose to study the Law LLB by the standard route or the Law LLB (including Canadian Law), which includes two modules on Canadian law: Foundations of Canadian Law in Year 2 and Canadian Constitutional Law in Year 3.

2 years at humber, 3 years at leicester

On the degree route you will have three or four years at Humber and two years at Leicester. On this route you will study our Law (JD Pathway) LLB, completing your LLB studies in just two years. This degree includes 'Foundations of Canadian Law' and 'Canadian Constitutional Law' to equip you with a critical understanding of the framework and fundamentals of Canadian law and help you prepare for the Canadian National Committee on Accreditation exams in those subjects. This degree is recognised in Canada, England and Wales. It will provide an excellent foundation to pursue a legal career in these countries. Alternatively you can apply for the Law LLB 3-year degree which includes a range of further optional modules.
