Bagworth: Claude Blow (b.1908) explains why Precision Rubbers Limited set up its factory at Bagworth. This interview was recorded in 1991.

Desford: Florence Harris (b.1916) recalls life as a child in Desford Colliery Village and her parents running the village shop. This interview was recorded in 1991.

Ellistown: Simeon Woolley (b.1920) recalls his grandfather's job as a brick burner at the South Leicestershire Brickworks and going to help his as a child, taking him his lunch. This interview was recorded in 1988.

Hinckley: Elsie Goode (b.1893) talks about everyone she knew being factory workers. She talks about her family working for the Daniel Payne factory who made jumpers for the army and navy. This interview was recorded in 1986.

Kirby Muxloe: Irene Thompson (b.1918) remembers working in domestic service as a general maid. She talks about having her own sitting room, bathroom, bedroom and radio. This interview was recorded in 1985.

Stoke Golding: Arthur Mason recalls his work as a baker in Stoke Golding. This interview was recorded in 1994.
