Bardon: Frank Harris (b.1918) recalls the Everard family of Bardon, regarded as local squire and managing director of the local stone quarry. He also remembers how they had great influence on the affairs of the church and the village in general. This interview was recorded in 1987.

Woodhouse Eaves: Daisy Wainwright (b.1906) talks about Lady Herrick of Beaumanor Hall. She recalls staff working for the Hall being poorly paid and how the Herrick family gave dripping to the poor following pig killing. She also tells an amusing anecdote about the local church organist. This interview was recorded in 1985.
