Attenborough Arts Centre is a socially and civically-engaged public cultural venue based at the University of Leicester, producing visual arts, live performance, learning, community and research programmes. We combine great cultural experiences by local, national and international artists with high quality community programmes to inspire everyone to become active participants in culture. We collaborate with many local organisations to engage Leicester communities and with national partners to raise the profile of our work. We aim to be a sector leader for inclusion and a centre of excellence for disability arts. Our work has been recognised through multiple awards and grants from Arts Council England, BBC Children in Need, Leicester Shire Promotions and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
