Facilities

At Leicester you will benefit from outstanding facilities, giving you the best opportunity to enhance and improve your knowledge and skills.

We have four dedicated physiotherapy practical rooms and a separate movement analysis lab, which are packed with physiotherapy treatment equipment and research tools. These rooms are only for physiotherapy students, meaning you can use the rooms and equipment for self-directed study whenever you want to.

You'll also learn in our state-of-the-art Clinical Skills Unit. This multi-million pound facility houses mock up hospital wards and Intensive care units. These are home to interactive manikins, which can be programmed to respond like a patient might in a critical care situation. We also employ actors as patients. It is all designed to provide a realistic but safe environment to practice assessment and treatment skills before entering the clinical environment.

You will have full access to the Leicester Medical School's dissection room, a superb and rare facility for learning human anatomy. We provide taught sessions using upper and lower limb professional dissections, and have access to full cadavers to explore the heart, lungs and other critical body systems. You can book to visit the DR at any time to continue to develop your knowledge of human anatomy.
