Career Development Service shortlisted for two national awards

Our University has been shortlisted for two national awards highlighting the pioneering work being delivered by the Career Development Service to prepare students for the competitive world of work.

‘The National Undergraduate Awards’ have shortlisted Leicester in its ‘Best University Careers / Employability Service’ category for our commitment to helping students undertake part-time work on campus, with the winner being announced at the NUE Awards on Friday 12 February 2016.

We have also been shortlisted again by the Association of Graduate Recruiters’ annual Development Awards. Following our award in the ‘Best Preparation for Work: Overall Strategy’ category last year, 2016 sees Leicester shortlisted in the ‘Best Preparation for Work Initiative (Higher Education) category for our new ‘Smart48 programme’ - an immersive experience that promises to realise students’ potential using a number of unique, accelerated learning techniques.

One of two institutions shortlisted in this category, the winner of this award will be announced at the 2016 AGR Development Conference on Tuesday 1 March 2016.
