Future entrepreneurs showcase talent at Venturefest East Midlands
Entrepreneurs from across the region are being given the opportunity to launch their ideas and start-up businesses to an influential audience, with Venturefest East Midlands’ Next Generation Zone.
The Next Generation Zone, run in conjunction with the University of Leicester and other regional partners aims to encourage innovative and creative business development by entrepreneurs in the East Midlands. Whether a business has already been set-up, or is still in the planning stages, the Next Generation Zone is a chance to showcase ideas to business owners, investors and potential partners.
Entrants will also be competing for prize money, as the public and attendees at the event on 14 April will cast the deciding votes via the Venturefest East Midlands official app.
The competition is open now and entrants will fall into two streams; New Business Ideas and Early Stage Business. Entrants into both streams are required to submit a filmed entry along with a further detailed description of their business concepts to their local university.
£500 will be offered as a prize, which will be presented to the winner of the New Business Ideas stream, whilst entrants into the Early Stage Businesses stream will be up against each other to secure the prize funds of up to £1000 from Venturefest East Midlands.
