Leadership
Midwives completing this programme will commence employment within the NHS at Band 5 and it is anticipated that with support from their preceptors in practice, will utilise their leadership education and skills to fast-track into key NHS leadership roles.
At the point of registration it is expected that these midwives have the ability to practise autonomously and would be able to progress to specialist midwifery roles such as in public health, perinatal mental health as well as become consultant midwives.
For those aspiring towards a career in academia or research, secondments to the university setting to engage with the education of students or assist with project work is also a possible career option for these graduates.
