My career has been in the water industry where, for over 32 years I worked in the Engineering and Operational parts of the business. More recently I have been working in my own company, nationally, carrying out vocational and non-vocational training and development in operational water management. Alongside this I have been associated with the Midlands Asthma and Allergy Research Association for over 25 years, the last 16 of which as Chairman. MAARA is an East Midlands based charity which funds research into asthma and allergies. I am keen to continue the involvement of other lay people like himself, in the Public Involvement Panel: Environment and Technology (PIPET). This group is involved in the running and feedback from the projects, having already had the opportunity to input into the project proposals.
