Health Protection Research Unit

The Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) Development Award in Environmental Exposures and Health ran between April 2020 to March 2025. The information on these pages relate to this HPRU. We are currently developing a new HPRU in Chemical Threats and Hazards which began in April 2025.  

The HPRU in Environmental Exposures and Health was a partnership between the University of Leicester, UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA formerly Public Health England) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Our research focuses on health effects from exposures in the built environment.
