University experience days
A fantastic opportunity for your students to visit the University of Leicester and explore what studying at university is really like! At each event, there will be opportunities to tour our campus, speak to current students and get involved with interactive activities.
Who can attend?
We have a number of university experience days targeting different year groups. Each school or college can bring up to 40 students per event. All events will take place at University of Leicester main campus. All events will run 9.30am – 2.15pm.
Year 10 and 11
- Celebrating languages – Tuesday 16 December 2025
- Women into careers - Wednesday 17 December 2025
Year 9 and 10
- Social Justice plaques (History) – Thursday 18 December 2025 (Year 9 only)
- Crime Scene Investigation – Tuesday 21 April 2026
- Working in the NHS, including Medicine calling – Wednesday 22 April 2026
- STEM in action - Wednesday 24 June 2026 (Year 9 only)
- University experience day (General) - Thursday 25 June 2026
Year 7 and 8
- Exploring sustainability – Thursday 23 April 2026
- University experience day (General) - Tuesday 23 June 2026
- Business event - Tuesday 30 June 2026 (Year 8 only)
- Become a life saver, including Medicine calling - Wednesday 1 July 2026
- University experience day (General) - Thursday 2 July 2026
How can I sign up?
Available for group bookings only.
Expressions of interest are open for schools to submit their interest in attending any of the above events.
Complete your expression of interest
Schools that are successfully selected will be contacted 8 weeks prior to the date chosen on the form and sent the necessary booking documentation, allowing time to make suitable travel arrangements.
