University exhibition to showcase research and innovation to the public

An exhibition of the current work of the University’s research community will be on display at Queen’s Hall, Percy Gee (Students’ Union) Building, on Thursday 9 February 2017 from 11 am to 4 pm.

The Images of Research event is open to students, staff and members of the public. This year’s competition, which was open to staff entries for the first time, builds on the Graduate School’s PhDepictions competition which showcases the photography of the University’s post-graduate researchers.

Professor Paul Monks, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Science and Engineering, said: “Images of Research showcases not only the beauty of research as an aesthetic, but also the incredible innovation being undertaken across all areas of research and innovation at the University of Leicester.

The event aims to give an insight into the wide range of research carried out at the University of Leicester and the way that this research can make a difference to society.

The event is free and open to all.
