Management academic in new BBC dance programme
A Teaching Fellow in our School of Management has featured in a new two-part BBC television documentary You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, that follows choreographer to the stars, Jack Murphy, as he attempts to revive ballroom dancing in Bolton.
In episode one, which aired on Tuesday 5 January 2016, Jack heads to the Palais de Danse in Bolton where he tries to realise his dream of reopening the once glorious dance hall for one night only.
Heidi assisted Jack in teaching a group of original Palais patrons – now in their 70s to dance in front of 20,000 football fans in order to attract new recruits, who we will learn more about in the second episode tonight at 9.00pm on BBC2.
