Study spaces on campus
Alternative study spaces on campus are available at:
Charles Wilson Building Mezzanine
The Charles Wilson Building is located on the main Campus.
Individual study rooms on the Mezzanine Floor in the Charles Wilson building can be booked up to 4 days in advance through Book a Study Space. Rooms may be booked for individual study by University of Leicester students only. If the room is not occupied within 15 minutes of the start of a booking it may be rebooked by contacting the Library by telephone 0116 252 2448, email library@leicester.ac.uk or text 0116 347 0605
The rooms are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 7.00pm and you will need to bring your own device and log on to the Wi-Fi as currently there are no PC's available in these rooms. Laptops are available for loan from the David Wilson Library, subject to availability.
Three non-bookable drop-in desks are also available for ad-hoc study as well as hot and cold drinking water.
Freemen's Common Cottages
Freemen's Common Cottages are located next to the Bob Burgess Building on Freemen's Common.
The group study rooms in Freemen's Common Cottages for groups of 4, 6 or 12 can be booked up to 4 days in advance through Book a Study Space. Rooms may be booked by University of Leicester students, including Postgraduate Research Students, only, and are intended for group bookings. The rooms are available Monday to Friday 10.00am to 6.00pm. If the room is not occupied within 15 minutes of the start of a booking it may be rebooked by contacting the Library by telephone 0116 252 2448, email library@leicester.ac.uk or text 0116 347 0605.
Each room is laid out meeting room style and has a wall mounted TV with connections to display and you will need to bring your own device and log on to the Wi-Fi as there are no PC's available in these rooms. Laptops are available for loan from the David Wilson Library, subject to availability.
Global Lounge – Ground Floor Charles Wilson Building
The social study spaces on the ground floor of the Charles Wilson Building provide a relaxed, informal space for you to study. The space is open Monday – Sunday. You will need your ID card to access Charles Wilson through the side entrance before 7.00am and after 6.00pm and all day at the weekends.
Brookfield Campus
A range of study spaces are available at our Brookfield campus located on London Road. The Teaching Centre and Hub and Brookfield House will be open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (closed on bank holidays). You will need your ID card to access the buildings.

Percy Gee social seating spaces
Percy Gee is open from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday where social seating spaces can be found in the following locations:
- SU Square and Balcony (Ground and First floor)
- Gee's (Ground floor)
- Second floor social seating
- Opportunities Hub (Third floor)
