International Ocean Drilling Programme
IODP and I-REACCH
I-REACCH (Inclusive Research Environment Achieved through Culture Change) is a Wellcome-funded University of Leicester initiative addressing barriers to participation, progression and belonging in research culture. Tayyaba Khurram secured funding for two projects: 1) a technician-led framework for laboratory accessibility; and 2) a conflict management framework for high-pressure working situations, drawing on NHS conflict-resolution models adapted for the International Ocean Drilling Programme (IODP3) community. This framework will inform our offshore code of conduct, delivering on our commitment to continuous improvement and to inclusion, e.g., via physical accessibility or interpersonal dynamics under pressure.
Project Lead: Tayyaba Khurram.
Co-proponents: Sarah Davies, Tim van Peer, and Benjamin Palmer.
