NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS)

We have been delivering the HR specialism of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) since 2024.

"Our experience of working with the University of Leicester School of Business in delivering the ongoing Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Training as part of our NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme has been extremely positive. Academic tutors, programme managers, and support staff have worked collaboratively throughout, providing clear communication, reliable reporting, and strong operational delivery.

The academic team has demonstrated subject expertise, professionalism and a commitment to quality and supporting trainee development, whilst the programme management and support teams have ensured efficient administration, effective governance, and accurate reporting. The quality of this partnership is contributing significantly to a successful experience for our GMTS HR specialism trainees, and we would have confidence in working with the University on future professional education initiatives."

Chris Keighley, GMTS Education Senior Manager, NHS England

Growth Accelerator for Social Entrepreneurs

We delivered the Growth Accelerator for Social Entrepreneurs programme from 2023 to 2026 and are continuing to support the social enterprise sector.

"The University of Leicester School of Business successfully delivered the Growth Accelerator for Social Entrepreneurs programme on behalf of Leicester City Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Throughout the programme, the team demonstrated strong project management, effective partnership working and a commitment to supporting social enterprises across Leicester. Delivery was professional and responsive, with clear reporting, robust governance arrangements and excellent communication throughout.

Importantly, the programme met its full contractual requirements, successfully achieving the agreed outputs, outcomes and financial delivery targets. The positive impact generated for participating organisations, combined with the University’s expertise and collaborative approach, provided confidence and assurance to Leicester City Council as the funder. We would welcome the opportunity to work with the University of Leicester School of Business on future initiatives and programmes."

Joanne Ives, Regeneration Programmes Manager, Leicester City Council.
