Universitys Attenborough Arts Centre to take part in Leicester Comedy Festival this February
The University’ Attenborough Arts Centre will take part in Leicester Comedy Festival this February to host 18 new shows by local favourites and new emerging comedians.
The festival kicks off with The Comedy Asylum on Friday 10 February with the first weekend double-header on Saturday 11 February welcoming back Helen Duff (pictured), with a bold, subversive and very funny new stand-up show Helen Duff: Open Secret about life as a fully exposed idiot! Sleeping Trees: WESTERN? perform on the same evening to showcase an unlikely hero whose day quickly turns sour when confronted by native Indians, talking wasps and one of the most majestic tumbleweeds ever seen in the west in this theatre comedy show.
The Attenborough Arts Centre will also host three shows delivered by comedians on Wednesday 15 February to keep children aged between 3 – 7 years entertained during half term.
The second week of the festival includes shows by an English Comedian of the Year double-bill on Thursday 16 February, with Jack Campbell’s Boy Girl Brain followed by Everglow with Brendan Reece, bringing his debut show to Leicester.
Double-bill discounted tickets are available for £10 when you book for selected shows together at the same time. Tickets are available to purchase in person at Attenborough Arts Centre, over the phone: 0116 252 2455 or on our website.
