Showcase of Leicester research and innovation to go on tour
An exhibition of the current work of our research community will be going on display at locations around Leicester from April, highlighting some of the key research innovations currently taking place from across our academic departments.
The first stop for the Images of Research event will be the Attenborough Arts Centre on 26 April between 9am and 6pm, and is open to students, staff and members of the public. The exhibition then moves to the University’s Botanic Garden in Oadby, where it will be up from 1 - 4 June. This year’s competition, which was open to staff entries for the first time, builds on the Graduate School’s PhDepictions competition which showcases the photography of the University’s postgraduate researchers. The event is free and open to all.
Earlier this year, a distinguished panel of judges selected images for awards in a number of categories including a prize for the best entry from each college, and a prize from the Students’ Union for the best image from a postgraduate research student. Over 100 images were originally submitted to the competition and 51 shortlisted images will be displayed for public viewing.
