University praised for outstanding success by global indicator of research excellence
Our University has been cited for its outstanding performance in a global ranking of world-leading universities published this month.
The announcement by the NTU ranking, released by National Taiwan University, is also known as the “Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities”.
Leicester is included in the ranking of the world’s top 500 universities.
This follows the announcement by the THE World University Rankings placing Leicester among the top 1% of universities in the world.
Leicester was also ranked among the top 1% of universities in the world and in the top 20 universities in the UK by the CWUR World University Rankings. This ranking, the largest academic ranking of global universities, placed Leicester at 237 among the 25,000+ degree-granting institutions of higher education worldwide.
The ranking programme offers annual performance rankings of universities around the world based on their production and impact of scientific papers.
