Students Union name Guide Dogs UK puppy Lester

Following exceptional fundraising efforts in the past few years, the University of Leicester Students’ Union has had the honour of naming a beautiful eight-week-old white Labrador Guide Dogs UK pup.

The name ‘Lester’ was selected from a range of suggestions made by students and fed back to the charity who loved the choice.

Lester was brought to the Students’ Union puppy room this week as part of the Union's 'de-stress' campaign and proved to be a hit with the students who enjoyed a cuddle and are keen to follow his progress as he trains to become a guide dog.

With the help and generosity of our student and staff base, the Union has raised just under £1000 in 2016 alone for Guide Dogs UK.
