Richard III mosaic unveiled at visitor centre

The King Richard III Visitor Centre unveiled a huge photo-mosaic portrait of the King to coincide with the one year anniversary of the reinterment on 26 March.

The portrait has been created from the thousands of images that were captured during the build up to the reinterment events and during the week itself. As well as images contributed by the University, images had also been sent from members of the public who were in Leicester for the reinterment and are from as far afield as the United States.

Other contributors included Leicester Cathedral, Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council.

The portrait is on display as part of the Reinterment: One Year On photography exhibition until 2 May and is included in admission to the King Richard III Visitor Centre.
