Formula One Team Executive Director to give guest address at annual engineering lecture

The Executive Director of the one of world's most successful Formula One teams, and the man behind Lewis Hamilton's race success, will be guest speaker at the University's 18th annual engineering lecture organised by the Department of Engineering.

The event will feature MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Executive Director (Technical) Paddy Lowe as its visiting speaker.

The Cambridge engineering graduate will talk about his career in one of the most demanding technical sports on the planet, and the breakthroughs developed in Formula One that have had a wider application in other industries.

Tickets to the lecture, which takes place in the Peter Williams Lecture Theatre on Thursday 11 February at 6.30pm are free, but need to be booked in advance by emailing: nh21@le.ac.uk 

A free buffet supper will be available after the lecture on the 1st Floor Restaurant, Charles Wilson Building.
