Concert to celebrate life of gifted teacher in Chemistry
A concert is being held at the University to celebrate the life of Dr Martin Harger, Emeritus Reader in the Department of Chemistry, who worked in the Department for more than 38 years and died recently after a short illness.
The Department will be celebrating Martin’s life by presenting a programme of music by University musicians and anecdotes from friends and colleagues.
Entry is free. Friends, colleagues, acquaintances of one of the University of Leicester’s most popular members of staff in the Chemistry Department are welcome to come along.
The musical programme will include Oboe Quartet Mozart, Slow movement of Winter from the Four Seasons’ - Vivaldi, Air on the G string- Bach, The Trumpet Shall Sound - Handel, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik - Mozart plus a selection of solos for voice, cello and piano by University of Leicester staff and students.
The concert is at 4pm on Friday, June 26 at the Richard Attenborough Centre, Lancaster Road, Leicester. Entry is free. The Arts Bar will be open for refreshments.
