Past events
The Centre for New Writing has offered a wide range of events since its launch in 2013. In 2022 the Centre (along with the School of Arts) brought back the Literary Leicester Festival - the university's fist annual free literary festival. Literary Leicester hosts events at the university and right across the city, in cinemas, theatres, community halls and schools, with guest-speakers including Booker-Prize winners, celebrated cultural commentators, novelists, poets, historians, biographers and many more.
