The Reading Lounge

The Reading Lounge is a space for you to read, relax and rest. Established by our Library Champion student volunteers, you can find the space on the ground floor of the library – head towards the back of the building and turn left right before entering the silent zone. To ensure a diverse and captivating selection, the collection has been developed through student recommendations to include a range of titles spanning various genres. Whether your literary preferences lean towards gripping thrillers, heart-warming romances, or mind-bending science fiction, you are bound to find your next exciting read! 

Libby

Away from campus you can access many e-books and audiobooks through the Libby app. Accessing Libby is easy. You can either visit the Libby website on your browser or download the user-friendly Libby app and search for "University of Leicester" to embark on a browsing journey through hundreds of titles. You will need to log in using your university email address and password. Once you have made your selection, you can borrow e-books and audiobooks effortlessly, right from the comfort of your favourite reading nook.
