L@L 20th Anniversary Celebration of Languages and Cultures

This year, Languages at Leicester proudly celebrates its 20th Anniversary!

Since 2005, we’ve had the privilege of being part of the diverse and vibrant communities of both the University and the city of Leicester, where people from all over the world come together to share their rich cultural heritage.

We warmly invite you to join us on Friday 26 September 2025, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm, at the University’s Central Campus (venue will be confirmed shortly), to celebrate our shared love of languages and cultural diversity.

The 26th of September is also the European Day of Languages, a day when people across Europe are encouraged to learn languages. At Languages at Leicester, we take it one step further and celebrate all languages! This year, our Languages and Cultures Fair will be combined with our Anniversary celebrations.

You will be able to participate in a variety of fun and interactive games, as well as learn new words and facts related to the many languages we teach. All activities will be led by our team of tutors, making it a great opportunity to meet them in a relaxed and friendly setting. There will be hot and cold drinks, along with some regional food to taste.

Whether you're a university student, staff member, or part of the public (feel free to bring a friend!), you're very welcome to join us.
