DLI Highlights

Establishment of DLI

• The educational cooperative agreement between UoL and DUT was officially signed on 23 March 2017
• The official launch ceremony for Leicester International Institute, Dalian University of Technology was held on 24 March 2017
• The first opening ceremony of DLI was held in September 2017. The leadership from both sides were at presence
• DLI recruited its first cohort of students to two degree programmes: BSc Chemistry with 73 students and BEng (Mechanical) with 95 a total of 168 students
• The opening ceremony for 2018 class students in September 2019. Paul Boyle, Paul Monks, Eric Hope, Angela Harrison, Baocheng Li were at presence
• In September 2018 admissions have recruited a further 189 students to the two programmes, 95 Chemistry students and 94 Engineering students

• The Board of Administration Meeting is held once a year for the high level leaderships to review the past academic year and make plans for the following academic year
• DLI holds the Joint Academic Committee meeting every semester to ensure the high teaching quality
• DLI holds the Board of Examiners every semester to make sure all the exam results meet the standards of both sides
• DLI holds the Faculty Meeting every semester for DUT staff and UoL staff to communicate and make actions
• DLI holds the SSC meetings twice a semester to discuss issues proposed by students and staff
