School of Chemistry
Training programmes for industry
We run work-based courses at differing entry levels so you can choose the right one for your staff. Our research in chemical biology, green chemistry and analytical chemistry/environmental monitoring means that we can tailor our courses to suit your organisational needs, drawing from a broad range of topics including:
- Biocatalysis and biotransformations
- Cancer chemistry and drug design
- Solid phase synthesis
- Protein engineering
- Target synthesis
- Metal finishing
- Atom efficient processes
- Polymerisation catalysis
- Transition metal catalysis
- Electrophilic and nucleophilic fluorination methodology
- Electrochemistry
- Molecular properties
- Environmental monitoring
- Interfacial science
- Spectroscopy
- Forensic technique development
Our employer-led programmes are flexible and delivered by blending learning, with study taking place via distance learning, workplace learning, attendance at the University or a mix of the three.
The University has established three technology transfer/exploitation facilities:
