Profile
Dr Joanna Bilak is a cardiology registrar and a clinical research fellow in cardiac imaging at the NIHR Cardiovascular Biomedical Research Centre, University of Leicester. Dr Bilak graduated with distinction on her primary medical qualification in 2014 following which she undertook her clinical training in the South West and Thames Valley deaneries. Dr Bilak joined Professor McCann’s cardiovascular imaging research group in August 2021.
Research
Dr Bilak has received funding from the British Heart Foundation Accelerator and a prestigious fellowship from the British Society for Heart Failure. Her primary research area is utilising lifestyle interventions for treatment and prevention of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
