Background
Joanne completed an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics with the Open University before gaining an MSc in Medical Statistics at the University of Leicester. She joined the Real World Evidence Unit at Leicester Diabetes Centre as an Epidemiologist prior to her current role.
Research interests
- The use of large electronically collected health datasets to analyse outcomes in a real world population.
- Formulating analysis plans to investigate electronically collected health data.
- Statistical analysis and data cleaning methods specific to these large datasets.
- Using Hospital Episode Statistics data to perform in silico clinical trials.
