The Centre for Victorian Studies
The Centre for Victorian Studies
We are a thriving community of academics, postgraduate researchers, Master's students, and visiting fellows. Founded in 1966, we are the longest established Centre for Victorian Studies in Britain. We have a distinguished record of innovation and excellence in interdisciplinary research and teaching at postgraduate level. Our research covers a wide variety of areas, including Victorian literature, science, medicine, life writing, death culture, and visual culture.
The Centre’s research and teaching staff are drawn from the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and comprise members from English and History.
We welcome international students and visiting fellows.
