Travel and parking

a bus in motion between halls and campusGetting to campus is easy. We're located close to great transport links - whether that's road, train or even a plane!

Travelling by car

Parking: Central campus, Freemen’s Common or The City accommodation

We would recommend parking in our multi-storey car park located on Putney Road (LE2 7TF) if you are visiting our central campus, Freemen’s Common or The City accommodation.

There is a reduced rate £2.50 charge for the day. You can pay on exit or on arrival. Please be aware the maximum height at our multi-storey carpark is 2.1m.

We recommend you follow our yellow AA signs once you reach Leicester due to a new road system that has been put in place. They'll guide you to the car park.

If our car parks become full, you can park in local pay and display car parks. For public pay and display car parks, please head to Lancaster Road, LE1 7HA or Victoria Park, LE1 7RY.

Parking: Brookfield campus

If you have an offer to study Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, Economics or Marketing, please head straight to Brookfield campus, Holmfield Road, LE2 1SD, where you can park for free.

Accessible parking

If you require disabled parking or require accessible parking, please get in touch with us at study@le.ac.uk and we'll make sure you have access to suitable parking.

Travelling by train

If you're arriving by train, we're about a 20-minute walk from the train station located on London Road. Use LE1 7RH into Google Maps to help find your way if you choose to walk from the station. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank located just outside the main station entrance or you can jump on the Arriva 48 bus.

Travelling by coach

If you’re coming by coach you will arrive into Leicester St Margaret's Bus Station. Our campus is roughly a 35-minute walk away. Enter LE1 7RH into Google Maps to help find your way if you choose to walk from the bus station or you can use local bus services or a taxi.
