University of Leicester is filled with experiences and discovering that go-to dish you can’t get enough of. It can become a lasting memory, no matter who you are, that is why our food and drink offer is more than just vibrant, tasty food, it’s about creating connection.
We offer choice when you need it! From Pearls bubble tea, soul food classics to South Asian cuisine, our food and drink options are as unique as you are.
It is this diversity that brings us together, it is not just what you eat, but where you eat it and with who. Whether it is grabbing a coffee and catching up in ULSB Hub, getting a salad from our salad bar in Delicious or meeting for lunch with friends in Queens, it’s the heart of university life.
Sustainability isn’t a term we use lightly, our food and drink are wherever possible, handpicked, locally and ethically sourced, to create delicious seasonal dishes for you to enjoy.

Hospitality
Make a booking
You can make a booking for Delivered Hospitality or a light buffet for a minimum of 5 people.
See our menus below for the complete options available. We are currently unable to offer mix and match options for buffets.
Download and complete the Delivered Hospitality booking form. Send it to lets-eat@leicester.ac.uk We will then add your booking to our events calendar.
If you do not need certain times/refreshments, enter a N/A in the box.
External customers
Prices shown in the menu are excluding VAT. When booking as an external customer, please be aware that a 20% VAT charge will be added to your total booking.
Opening hours
We monitor lets-eat@leicester.ac.uk from Monday to Friday between 9:00am until 4:00pm. Your email will be answered by one of our team, within these hours. Any deliveries required after 4pm will incur a delivery charge of £60.00. Alternatively collection arrangements can be made.
Allergen advice
We do produce food that does not contain nut products, these are not produced in a nut free environment, therefore cannot be guaranteed to be nut free.
Ethical catering
For VIP events held in the Fielding Johnson Building and Knighton Hall, all water is provided in refillable and reusable glass bottles. For all other bookings, due to practicality and safety, when ordering water, this will be provided in recyclable bottles. These are to be placed in recyclable bins in the event space.
Take advantage of your closest drinking fountain and ask visitors/attendees to bring reusable water bottles to fill up instead.
In the first instance, consider whether it is necessary to provide food at your events.
There are a variety of Work Smart areas across campus that provide free teas, coffees, fruit etc that can be used to help reduce food waste for small meetings.
If food is a requirement, we can offer a fully plant-based menu to optimise low-carbon catering.
Be mindful of the quantity of food ordered. The Hospitality Team are experts on knowing the right amount to order for the number of guests to avoid over ordering. As an additional option, you can donate any edible leftovers by taking it to the Community Kitchen. For non-edible leftovers, please place in food waste bins provided in areas.
We avoid the use of single-use plastics by offering wooden disposable cutlery for Hospitality events in compliance with DEFRA, and provide reusable crockery, glassware and cutlery where possible, at College Court and VIP events held in the Fielding Johnson Building and Knighton Hall. We will always endeavour to cut down on paperware and single-use plastics wherever we can.
If ordering outside of these locations, wooden disposable cutlery will be provided for health and safety reasons and practicality, these can be placed in recyclable bins provided in areas.
For large formal events, dependant on location, The Hospitality Team will advise on hiring in crockery and glassware.
