Your offer

After you’ve submitted your application, our admissions team will carefully review it. Once we’ve done so, there are a few different outcomes you could receive from us. Here’s what each one means.

Types of offer

Conditional offer

A conditional offer means you’ve been offered a place, but you’ll need to meet certain requirements before your place is confirmed.

In most cases, these requirements are based on your exam results. Your offer will clearly outline the grades you’ll need to secure your place on the course.

Unconditional offer

An unconditional offer means your place is guaranteed with no conditions attached.

If you’re unsure about any part of your offer, just get in touch we’re here to help you understand your options.

Check the details of your offer

It is really important to read your offer carefully. Sometimes you might be given an alternative offer instead of your original choice or be given a reduced offer. This can happen for a few reasons, such as:

  • After attending an interview
  • If you don’t quite meet the entry requirements for your chosen course, but you have a strong application and we’d love for you to study with us
  • If you’ve been given a contextual offer.

If you’re unsure about any part of your offer, just get in touch we’re here to help you understand your options.

Unsuccessful

If your application is unsuccessful, it means the university has decided not to offer you a place on the course. Don’t be discouraged; you can still explore other options or consider alternative routes into your chosen subject.

Withdrawn

If your application is withdrawn, it means that either you or the university/college has withdrawn it. If the university has withdrawn your application, the reason will show on UCAS. For example, you may have missed an interview or not responded to emails or letters.

If you’re unsure why your application was withdrawn, please contact us so we can help clarify.
