How to reply to your offer(s)

Once you have heard from all of the universities that you have applied to, it’s time to decide where you want to study.

When replying to your offer(s) on the UCAS Hub, you’ll need to make a few key choices:

  • Firm choice: this is your first-choice university and course.
  • Insurance choice: this is your second-choice university and course (if you choose to have one).

You can only accept one firm and one insurance offer, and you must decline any other offers you have received.

Deferring your offer

If you would like to defer your offer by one academic year, please get in touch with our admissions team as soon as possible on admissions@le.ac.uk or +44 (0)116 252 5281.

Results Day - near miss process

We understand you might be worried about meeting the requirements of your offer while you wait for your final results. If on Results Day you find you don’t quite meet the conditions of your offer, don’t panic. Through our near miss process, we’ll still automatically review your application. This means we’ll check if there are still places available on your course, and consider offering you a place even if you’ve narrowly missed the required grades. There’s nothing you need to do in this situation. Once we receive your results, we’ll assess your application and update your status on UCAS. If we need any additional information from you, we’ll get in touch.
