Dr Richard Blackburn

Associate Professor
I am the School’s Director of Teaching and Learning and have taught organic and pharmaceutical chemistry at Leicester since 2015. Outside of work I am a keen angler and love to BBQ!

Dr Alison Stuart

Associate Professor
I am a lecturer in organic chemistry and enjoy researching new methods for inserting fluorine into organic molecules. Work and family life keep me busy.

Dr Elena Piletska

Associate Professor
I am a Level 2 tutor and have taught bioanalytical chemistry and biochemistry at Leicester since 2014. My hobbies include foraging and travel.

Professor Andrew Ellis

Professor and Deputy Head of the College of Science and Engineering
I am a physical chemist, researching the fascinating properties of helium nanodroplets. Away from work I am keen on rowing, quizzes and (watching) rugby.

Associate Professor
I am an inorganic chemist and my research focuses on putting metals in molecules. Outside the lab, I enjoy listening to Pink Floyd and playing with my son’s train set.
