ULSB International Deans Scholarship

What's on offer?

A tuition fee discount of £8,000, awarded competitively to up to 10 students per year (5 x undergraduate and 5 x postgraduate).  The scholarship may also include access to additional mentoring or networking opportunities where applicable.

What do I need to do?

To be considered for this scholarship you must first apply for and receive an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate postgraduate programme at the University of Leicester School of Business.  You will then need to complete a dedicated scholarship application form, demonstrating your academic achievements, leadership qualities, community impact, and your vision for representing ULSB in your home country or region.

 

Who is eligible?

To be eligible you must:

1. Be a national of one of the following countries:

  • Thailand
  • Nigeria
  • Vietnam
  • Kenya
  • Bangladesh
  • Pakistan
  • Cambodia
  • Saudi Arabia

2. Hold or be working towards the required academic entry criteria:

  • Minimum 3.3 GPA or equivalent for undergraduate applicants
  • Minimum 2:1 honours or equivalent for postgraduate applicants

3. Be applying to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the University of Leicester School of Business.

4. Be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.

How do I apply?

Once you have received an offer for an eligible University of Leicester School of Business programme, you will be invited to submit a dedicated scholarship application form.  The form will ask you to provide evidence of your academic performance, leadership experience, community engagement, and your plans to act as an ambassador for the University of Leicester in your home country or region.  Applications are assessed are on a rolling basis.

When can I apply?

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from eligible students who have received an offer to study at the University of Leicester School of Business.  All selections will be finalised by early August each year for September entry.  

We recommend applying as early as possible as awards are competitive and limited in number.

How will my submission be assessed?

Applications will be reviewed by a panel comprising the Deputy Head of ULSB, the Dean of Internationalisation, the Director of Operations and the Marketing and Engagement Manager.  Submissions are assessed against three criteria:

  1. Academic Excellence (30%) - strong academic performance in high school or pre-university studies.
  2. Leadership and Influence (35%) - demonstrated leadership in school, community, entrepreneurship, social enterprise, or digital spaces, including evidence of high visibility or regional impact.
  3. Community and Institutional Impact (35%) - how the applicant plans to act as an ambassador for Leicester in their home country or region.

Terms and conditions

This scholarship is subject to the University of Leicester's standard scholarship terms and conditions.

You must be starting a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme at the University of Leicester School of Business commencing in September 2026.

You must be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.

Awards are non-transferable and will be applied as a tuition fee reduction.

The scholarship is subject to annual review.
