Development Centre for Population Health
The University of Leicester Development Centre for Population Health will improve the health of populations and reduce health inequalities through world-leading applied health research, engagement with communities, policymakers and the public with the aim of translating evidence into tangible policy-change improving and reducing variations in care and outcomes.
These aims will be achieved through cross-cutting and topic-specific themes. The proposed cross-cutting themes are:
- Evidence-synthesis and Health Technology Assessment
- Epidemiology, statistics and modelling
- Design, delivery and evaluation of public health interventions
Initial topic-specific themes for the University of Leicester Development Centre for Population Health will include:
- Health protection
- Non-communicable diseases and multi-morbidity
- Inequalities in populations (including migrant health)
