Arctic eco-thriller White Road by Dr Harry Whitehead released
White Road, the new novel by the University of Leicester's Dr Harry Whitehead has been published today.
Set in the Canadian Arctic, White Road is a gripping eco-thriller about an oil rig that explodes just as winter is setting in. The novel follows Carrie Essler, a Scottish rescue swimmer; Ross, the owner of an oil rig; and Amaruq, an Inuvialuit oil-rig worker.
Stranded on the Arctic ice with a starving polar bear and a half-dead stranger, Carrie’s left with nothing but deadly choices, while Ross and Amaruq face their own crossroads aboard the burning rig. Lives hang on their decisions.
