Cosmic Coffee to deliver creative insights at October event

The European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) at the University of Leicester’s £100m space research and innovation centre will host Cosmic Coffee – The Power of Creativity on Wednesday, 1 October at 2pm.

Andrew Fletcher Director of the Attenborough Arts Centre will be hosting the session and local artist Matt Turner will be sharing insights into his creative practice alongside James Burkmar, Workspace Manager from LCB Depot – Leicester’s creative industry hub.

Alex Wheldon, Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing at Space Park Leicester which is the University of Leicester’s £100 million science and innovation hub, said: “This month we’re shining a spotlight on the power of creativity – exploring how the arts, design and cultural industries can inspire and complement the work happening across the space sector.”

Cosmic Coffee is a free to attend informal monthly community event designed to bring together those working in and around the space sector at Leicester’s Space City and across the Midlands. It provides the opportunity to share ideas, discover opportunities and spark new collaborations.

Alex Wheldon added: “Whether you’re part of the space industry, exploring space-enabled technologies or simply curious about how creativity and space intersect, this event is for you.”
