Space Park Leicester backs major innovation festival
A major festival promoting innovation and productivity for businesses across Leicestershire is being supported by experts at Space Park Leicester.
The iconic venue, which is part of the University of Leicester, is the world’s first science and innovation park dedicated to space-related companies and will host two events on Monday, March 31, during the first day of the week-long Leicestershire Innovation Festival.
The first event, Cosmic Coffee, will start at 12.45pm and will bring together space innovators and entrepreneurs. It will be followed by a session on Funding Your Innovative Business led by the British Business Bank and Innovate UK.
Space Park Leicester Head of Commercial and Innovation, Vinay Patel, said: “We’re committed to helping businesses to accelerate their ideas and growth by connecting them with academic expertise and pioneering research.
“We help start-ups, scale-ups and large enterprises to develop their ideas and seek funding and we provide access to our state-of-the-art facilities for short and long-term projects.
“We’re delighted to support the Leicestershire Innovation Festival by hosting a special edition of our regular networking event, Cosmic Coffee. It will include information about funding opportunities and investment insights and foster connections between the county’s entrepreneurs, growth businesses and funding experts.
“This will be followed by Funding Your Innovative Business which will help innovative businesses to learn about finance opportunities that can help organisations access the capital they need to grow.”
Funding Your Innovative Business will also include practical guidance on preparing funding applications, a Q&A session with event panellists, opportunities for networking and light refreshments.
