University of Leicester appoints Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer

The University of Leicester is delighted to announce the appointment of Angelina Bingley to the position of Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer. Currently the Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing at the University of East Anglia (UEA), Angelina will join the University on Tuesday 21 February to lead the External Relations Division.

At UEA Angelina oversees branding, marketing, communications, media relations, crisis communications, reputation management, global and UK recruitment, corporate events and admissions, leading a team of over 200 and providing strategic leadership, vision and expertise to enable UEA to deliver its objectives.

Angelina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, with a strong background in marketing and communications, working for many years as a consultant in the private sector for FTSE 100 companies before moving into Higher Education. First at the University of Southampton where Angelina headed up strategic marketing, and for the last nine years in her director role at UEA. Angelina is also Vice-Chair of the Universities Marketing Forum and Chairperson of Norwich Rebels Touch Rugby team where she champions diversity and inclusion in the sport.
