School of Business hosts successful Investment Conference 2018

The second Investment Conference hosted by the School of Business in partnership with Asset Intelligence Research took place on 21 February. The conference provided students at the university with the opportunity to learn about current trends in the investment industry, looking closely at investing in Asia, the investment case for natural resources and commodities, whilst also being provided the chance to find out how they can become more employable.

This year saw representatives from Fidelity International, JP Morgan UK, Santander UK and Asset Intelligence Research deliver talks and take part in a Q&A session with hundreds of postgraduate and undergraduate students, primarily from the School of Business, in attendance.

Over the past five years, Asset Intelligence Research, an independent investment research provider based in Leicester, has developed strong links with the School of Business as a local partner including taking on interns from the University of Leicester. The School has benefited greatly from Asset Intelligence Research’s contacts, for example, organisations including Goldman Sachs and BlackRock have previously shared their current industry insight with students.
