Reindeer ice rink and giant interactive snow globe to kick off the festive season on campus
On Thursday 1 and Friday 2 December, the centre of campus will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with ice rink, real reindeer and Christmas market.
Once again, staff, students and members of the public will be able to get their skates on for 30 minute sessions – and this year it will be completely free!
Santa’s little helper handlers will also be bringing real reindeer from 2-6pm on both days which will be available for photographs.
There will also be an opportunity to stand inside a giant inflatable interactive snow globe where photographs will be uploaded onto the Students’ Union social media accounts for people to tag themselves in.
Santa’s grotto, bottle bar and festive music will complete the two-day event.
Other activities on offer to students until the end of term on Friday 9 December include craft workshops, a carol service, Christmas jumper competition with proceeds going to charity and a festive movie marathon.
