Embrace Arts will soon be Attenborough Arts Centre
The University of Leicester’s new gallery is moving towards its target completion date in Autumn 2015. To mark this occasion, Embrace Arts is re-branding as Attenborough Arts Centre, to celebrate the remarkable legacy of its founder Lord Attenborough and his commitment to arts and disabilities, and to welcome its new patron, his son, Michael Attenborough CBE.
Attenborough Arts Centre (AAC) is part of the University of Leicester’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Law. The multi award-winning arts centre has been promoting public engagement with the arts over the past 18 years. It pioneers new and exciting approaches to the arts in an inclusive and welcoming space, breaking down barriers to access. The arts programme includes creative learning, performance art, music, spoken word, experimental theatre and contemporary dance – championing disabled talent and disability-led companies. The new gallery (pictured) will be dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary British and international art, doubling the size of the arts centre’s existing building.
The design of a new logo is also underway. For now, you can find Attenborough Arts Centre online as:
